Calling all Big Shanty Eagles!
It’s time to strut your stuff at the 1st Annual Eagle Strut!
Wednesday, November 30, 2011
Time and Location: During Specials at the Big Shanty Track!
Big Shanty PTA encourages students to be excited and involved in this fundraising activity that helps promote health and wellness. This is not a race! Students may walk the track with classmates, jog or even run if desired. Parents and siblings are welcome to attend to cheer them on!
Because the Eagle Strut Walkathon is being held in November 2011, or “11/11”, our theme for the event is 11.
Students will set goals from completing 11 laps (approximately 2 miles) to simply moving, jogging, walking and seeing that fitness can be fun! *Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather!
Pledges: Students are encouraged to collect pledges from family, friends, and neighbors for the Eagle Strut. Funds raised by this event will be used to help fund new playground enhancements and our PTA programs. Collection envelopes with pledge money must be turned in no later than Wednesday, November 30 to be eligible for prizes.
